Courtney Rustin

Courtney has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) graduating from the University of Newcastle. During her studies she developed a strong passion for working with children and their families. 

 Courtney has a background working as an allied health assistant within a multidisciplinary team. In this role, she worked with children and adolescence with a range of speech, language and literacy difficulties including autism spectrum disorder and global developmental delay. 

 Courtney strives to deliver holistic, family-centered practice. A range of evidence-based interventions including play-based early intervention, foundational early literacy skills, school-age language intervention, school readiness skills, and phonological intervention. 

 Courtney has lived locally on the Central Coast for over 10 years, loves being active in the outdoors. Hobbies include playing netball, surfing, fishing and taking my puppy to the beach.

Jordan Johnson

Jordan is a Paediatric Speech Pathologist who encourages interactive, positive therapy with children. Jordan collaborates with a clients’ parents/family, medical team and educators to work towards meeting meaningful goals and experiences that can be carried into the home and community.  ​

 Her background includes providing therapy and supporting parents to address late talking and early communication delays related to language difficulties, speech and articulation difficulties, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and social and pragmatic difficulties.

Through continuing education and multidisciplinary collaboration, Jordan utilizes the most current research and techniques to best assist her clients. She maintains the highest professional standards while offering a fun, warm and nurturing perspective.

 Jordan holds a Bachelor of in Speech Language Pathology from the Australian Catholic University. She is a certified member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Catherine Healey

Catherine is a Paediatric SLP and really enjoys collaborating with the OT, Psych, and Paediatrician teams at KidsPoint.  She has a Masters of Speech Language Pathology from Macquarie University.

Catherine is a generalist SLP who has a particular speciality and interest in Neurodivergent kids. Catherine is not Neurodiverse BUT is committed to listening to the community she serves and making sure her practice is inclusive and Neurodivergent forward. Feedback about this is always welcome. Catherine is an experienced part of the Autism diagnostic team and is ADOS trained.

Catherine works on the usual SLP suspects of speech-sound disorders and language development. She has an interest in literacy disorders and has been trained in Paediatric feeding and swallowing issues. She has a deep love of kids with reactive nervous systems who need space, respect, and trust to engage in therapy.

Catherine LOVES being silly and having a laugh in her room. She feels that providing a safe space for her clients to grow into their true selves is vital.

Caitlin Harmer

Caitlin has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours), from Newcastle University. She has always had an interest in working with children and is developing her skills and interests in paediatric speech pathology. Caitlin is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based care for clients and working collaboratively in an Allied Health team.

During her studies Caitlin has worked within multidisciplinary teams which included a local primary school, rural community preschool, primary school, and community clinic. There she was working collaboratively with children and their families.

Caitlin enjoys team sports including Karate which she has participated in for many years, and volunteering at a local high school for their annual “Come and Try it” days. Where she works with special needs children and young adults actively involving them in sports and group activities.

In her spare time Caitlin loves camping and spending time outdoors with her family, friends, and dogs.

Holly Wright

Holly has a Masters of Speech and Language Pathology from Macquarie University. She has since been developing her skills and interests in paediatric speech pathology services. Holly has particular interests in treating children with speech sound disorders and fluency disorders such as stuttering.

Holly lives by evidence-based practice and can combine the current research with her clinical experience to diagnose and treat a variety of speech, language, fluency, social and swallowing difficulties.

During her studies Holly worked within multidisciplinary teams, including being placed within a rural community service supporting and advocating for families with complex needs, emphasizing a holistic and functional approach to her therapy.

Holly has passion and enthusiasm for helping children to achieve functional communication goals and increase their participation in everyday activities. This include collaboration with each family to ensure individualised support. Holly believes that therapy should be a fun and inviting experience for all and focuses on play-based interventions in a warm and supportive environment.

In her spare time Holly is an avid embroiderer, a keen book reader and loves spending time outdoors at the beach.

Lauren Hunter

Lauren has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Newcastle, and she is a certified member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Lauren has a passion for working with neurodivergent kids and children with complex communication needs. She also has an interest in treating speech sound disorders and language disorders.

Lauren aims to advocate for the needs of her clients and collaborate with their families to provide high-quality holistic care. Her sessions at Kids Point are designed to be play-based, evidence informed and accommodate all learning styles. Lauren endeavours to give all children a safe and supportive space to express themselves.

Lauren has experience with delivering assessment and therapy for clients in a range of different settings such as preschools, primary schools, rural clinics, and hospitals. She also enjoys collaborating with other health professionals such as OTs and Psychologists.

In her spare time Lauren loves creating music, gardening, and going on adventures. Lauren loves to make people smile and hopes to have a positive impact on everyone she meets at Kids Point.
